Homelessness is a complex issue with personal, social, and systemic components. We conceptualize a mobile application and an organization that acts on all these components to make a real difference.
The mobile application acts on the personal components of homelessness by providing a platform for those in need to have agency to match to housing themselves.
As an organization, we provide a solution on the social fronts by compiling anonymous user data to provide local organizations and governments with an informed perspective on the needs of the homeless and housing insecure in their area. We provide a solution on the systemic front by empowering people to lobby for better policy by informing them on policies that affect homelessness, like Not In My Backyard laws that limit the number and location of subsidized housing, and connecting interested lobbyists to their local and state representatives to create meaningful change.
