About this opportunity
We are looking for an Operations Engineer who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment of ground-breaking cloud-native product and surrounding technologies. If you have a desire to make a technological impact and contribution to a ground-breaking 5G communication services, then the GNP Operations team, this is the place to be! We are an unit, crafted to operate a global API platform that opens the door into the 5G networks to application developers.
This role requires work in a hybrid model from Ericsson office in Łódź (2-3 times from the office per week).

Responsibilities
What you will do
- Ensure all instances of the globally distributed API Platform operate reliably and within the required metrics.
- Perform software upgrades for the application microservices.
- Apply required patches and upgrades to the underlying Azure services.
- Triage and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure availability of the service.
- Work closely with Security and DevOps teams on keeping the Platform secure.
- Help to define operational and other non-functional requirements that make the service more observable, supportable, and robust.
- Drive automation in production by coauthoring with R&D.
Requirements and qualifications
You will bring
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure services (AKS, NSG, Storage, etc).
- Strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and FluxCD.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining of Terraform configurations.
- Troubleshooting skills for distributed cloud-native applications using kubectl, k9s, Lens Pro, and metrics in the ELK stack.
- Good understanding of DevOps principles and GitOps automation.
- Proficiency in Bash and Python programming.
- Good knowledge of GitLab, CI/CD.
- Outstanding user level in Jira.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field or equivalent experience.
You might also have
- Development skills in at least one of the following technology stacks: Python, Ruby, Java and Java-based languages, Golang.
- Certifications in public cloud technologies (Azure is preferred).
- Solid understanding of innerworkings of TCP, HTTPS, SSH, and other protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies.
