Job description

We are looking for Java Developers (Senior, Regular) who will join our Harman Ignite Platform team.

 

The Harman Ignite Platform is a complete, end-to-end cloud platform which enables connectivity, device management, application enablement, analytics and managed services capabilities. It allows automakers, dealers and service providers to introduce, easily deploy and manage new cloud applications and services meeting the safety, convenience, information, and entertainment needs of customers around the world. The platform is underlying foundation of connected car concept. What You will do: As part of Ignite team you will be responsible for development of new and extension of existing microservices on Ignite platform. We are contributing to key components of the platform that enable effective end to end communication.

Responsibilities


Your responsibility will be to provide design solutions that will fulfill the requirements, provide implementation, tests and deployment scripts. Provide support for external teams which are deploying created solution to different customer and test environments.


Technology stack: AWS (and on prem), Kubernetes, Helm, Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, HiveMQ(MQTT), Cucumber, other. 


Requirements and qualifications

What you need:


  • Experience in designing, implementation and integration of Java server components
  • Hand-on experience with modern Java (8 and above)
  • Knowledge and experience in using: Spring Boot, Spring Data, JPA, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber
  • Hands-on experience with tools like: Maven, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kafka
  • Experience in working in Linux environment
  • Experience in working in Agile methodologies
  • English language skills allowing for smooth communication in a multinational environment


Nice to have:


  • Experience in working with both: relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis)
  • Experience with microservices and messaging (ActiveMQ)
  • Big data and cloud-based solutions
  • Frontend development with: Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap, Gulp, Node.js
