Job description
We are looking for Lead Python Engineer to join our team in Poland.
We are supporting Employment Contract or B2B, depending on your preferences.
We are offering ability to work with modern technology stack in the team with positive atmosphere where your opinion matters.
Responsibilities
- Technical leadership over a project or its part
- Build and develop applications in different areas, including but not limited to
- Back-end development - Python, Django, Flask, FastAPI, SQL and ORM libraries, microservices
- Full stack development with Python web frameworks on backend and React.JS or Angular on frontend
- Big data - Python, Spark (PySpark), Hadoop, Kafka
- Data science – Python, NumPy, Dask, Pandas, machine learning
- Serverless computing and cloud-native applications (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- People management for Team of Python developers
Requirements and qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing Python applications
- Knowledge (and ideally experience) in starting a new project from scratch from a technical point of view
- At least one full cycle project participation experience or participation in several projects covering different phases of the development lifecycle
- Ability to plan own work effectively and doing correct prioritization
- Ability to solve technical and non-technical impediments that prevent successful individual work or the entire teamwork
- Being a successful troubleshooter
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies, especially scrum
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong analytical thinking and ability to solve algorithmic tasks
- Clean coding and refactoring skills with great problem-solving ability
- Solid Object-Oriented analysis and design skills, understanding of design patterns, concepts like OOD, TDD, BDD, DDD, CI/CD
- At least slight experience in and true willingness to People Management
NICE TO HAVE
- Ability to explain what decisions were made on the projects, which alternatives were considered and why chose the given option. Ability to explain which criteria were used
- Experience with cloud platforms from all major providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in use of container-based technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
