Job description
You will work with a leader of technological progress in the heating industry, with its Wrocław based R&D Centre developing the company’s products in the field of software and electronics. We use only state-of-the-art technology and equipment to translate the results of our work into innovative solutions to be applied in the near and more distant future.
As part of the HEMS Testing Team, You will have the opportunity to contribute towards high quality standards and ensure quick and smooth bugfix delivery. In this position of Quality Assurance Engineer you will be focusing primarily on defect management and support, working shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the QA Test Team, developers and managers
Responsibilities
- Report defects coming from end users via different channels (messengers, emails, phone calls) into our bugtracker (Jira)
- Validate defects coming from end users and internal teams, adding additional diagnostics and performing in-depth investigation if necessary.
- Track defects across the system throughout their lifecycle, quickly responding to developer’s or user’s enquiries and performing additional tests if needed, as well as tracking consistency of defect’s state and it’s timeline.
- Cooperate closely with testing and development teams to provide quick verification of fixes (creation test cases and scenarios).
- Monitor the current status of installations for possible issues before the customer is even aware of it.
- Providing actual status of testing to the stakeholders in a transparent manner.
Requirements and qualifications
- At least 1 year of real experience in testing web applications or mobile applications.
- Good understanding of testing principles and theory.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (if you can explain how the Internet works - perfect!).
- Experience with agile software development methods and tools like Git and Jira / Confluence.
- Knowledge of basic unix shell commands is a plus.
- Experience with API testing is a big plus.
- Very good written and spoken English skills, German is a plus.
