Live performance: Masato Yokoe - shamisen master

During the event, you’ll experience a special performance by Masato Yokoe, a shamisen master. The shamisen is a traditional three-stringed instrument with a distinctive, percussive sound that has shaped Japanese music and theatre for centuries.


Masato Yokoe is a certified shamisen instructor and World Ambassador of Japanese Green Tea (since 2019). Trained by distinguished teachers, he also pursues his passion for green tea through his collaboration with Takayanagi Seicha, a company with over 150 years of history. He has performed widely across Poland, including at the Matsuri Festival in Warsaw, the Embassy of Japan, and the National Museum in Kraków.

    Former Japanese Ambassador to Turkey and Poland. Graduated from Waseda University (Political Science and Economics) and served in Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). Holds an MA in International Relations from Yale University. Held MOFA posts including director for Oceania and First North America divisions; roles at the Embassy in the Republic of Korea, Japan’s Permanent Mission to the UN, the Foreign Policy Bureau as Ambassador for UN Affairs, and Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy in the United Kingdom. Served as Special Advisor to the Tokyo Governor on international affairs during preparations for the Olympic Games. Director-General of the International Peace Cooperation Headquarters at the Cabinet Office, then Ambassador to Turkey and Poland during Russian aggression against Ukraine and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s surprise visit there. Advisor to major Japanese companies including PASONA, as well as universities and a leading think tank.

    Akihiro Imura

    Graduated from Kyoto University School of Medicine in 1988, M.D., Ph.D. Invited professor at Osaka University. Aiming for molecular and precise medicine based on my clinical experience, he has studied health and diseases for 30 years at Kyoto University, Osaka University, etc., mainly in cancer, homeostasis, antibodies, genetic engineering, and cell biology. The foundation of COGNANO He founded COGNANO in 2014. Then he was eager to convert the information of living organisms into IT. Successfully Dr Imura and COGNANO imported alpaca from Oregon in 2016. He encountered a pandemic and started developing medicines for SARS-CoV2, and reported the antibody drug discovery seeds that can best match with mutations in the world in collaboration with Kyoto University, Osaka University, and the University of Tokyo. He continues surveillance tracking for virus mutations. This will be the first AI drug discovery example in antibody/middle molecule modalities.

    Shimon Yukihira

    CEO at Tagawa Shikkui Labs (Japan). After graduating from university, he began his career in the Japanese financial sector, working in corporate finance. In 2016, he joined his family’s 100-year-old company, Tagawa Shikkui Labs, where he has been responsible for product development and new business creation. In 2024, on the occasion of their company’s centennial anniversary, he succeeded his father as CEO and has since been leading their international projects. As the leader of a century-old materials manufacturer, he places strong importance on the long-term sustainability of their products and businesses—especially the impact on the global environment. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in nature, and recently his hobby has been going camping with his young children.

    Founder & CEO of simpleasy, Inc. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University in 2014, He studied in California and developed a global mindset. In 2016, He joined an EdTech startup and spent several years stationed in the Philippines, contributing to a large-scale English education operation backed by Benesse. He worked closely with more than 1,500 local team members over the course of the project and conducted over 2,000 interviews, taking on cross-functional roles in IT, HR, operations, and sales. In 2019, He joined the founding team launching the company’s Serbia office, overseeing HR and helping select the initial local team. In 2020, He founded Simpleasy Inc., now operating a fully remote engineering team of 11 members across 9 countries, supporting major clients in the education, real estate, and telecom sectors.

    Member of the global UNIQLO Management Program 2025. Program which focuses on creating new staff members suitable for acquiring high managerial positions in the company. Graduate of University of Warsaw, Warsaw School of Economics and University of Cologne in Germany. Throughout his education he was able to acquire valuable global experience, both as a student and as a consultant. Participant of many international projects in Germany, Poland and Uganda. Former employee of PWC, a global accounting company. Interested in management philosophy, leadership and cultural differences between countries.
