Competition Regulations


§ 1 [preliminary provisions]

  1. These regulations (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations")define the rules and procedure for conducting the Competition under the name – Euroclear Hackathon – Code the Invisible (hereinafter referred to as "Competition"), organized by Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL), with its registered office in Warsaw (Rondo ONZ 1, 00-124 Warsaw), KRS No. 0000340712, NIP 5252465847, REGON 142072104 (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer").
  2. The competition is organized online using the ChallengeRocket Platform from 18.08.2025, including the stationary component of the event, on 13.10.2025 at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology (Marii Konopnickiej 26, Kraków).
  3. Joining the Competition is possible only for users of the ChallengeRocket Platform after accepting the terms of these Regulations.


§ 2 [conditions for participation in the Competition]

  1. The Competition is intended for natural persons who, at the time of entering the Competition, meet the following conditions: 
  2. are over 18 years of age;
  3. have their place of residence in the territory of Poland;
  4. have full legal capacity; and
  5. have read the content of these Regulations and accepted its provisions.
  6. Participation in the Competition is free and voluntary.
  7. The Competition is not open to employees or contractors of the Organizer or of Euroclear, nor to their immediate family members. For the avoidance of doubt, “Immediate family” includes parents, children, siblings, siblings’ spouses, spouses’ parents, first-degree relatives by blood or marriage, and individuals related through adoption.
  8. In order to participate, it is necessary to fill in the appropriate registration form via the Platform https://challengerocket.com/euroclear-hackathon/.
  9. You can take part in the Competition individually or in a team (from 2 to max. 5 people).
  10. Participants enter the competition on their own behalf.
  11. Each Competition Participant may be a member of only one team.
  12. The Organizer reserves the right to limit the number of accepted Entries to the Competition.


§ 3 [rules of the Competition]

  1. The Competition will consist of two separate task tracks:
  2. Cloud & Infrastructure – Participants will operate in a simulated Microsoft Azure environment to identify hidden flaws in critical systems, implement fixes, and propose improvements ensuring security, reliability, and operational readiness.
  3. Data & Analytics – Participants will analyse a fictional banking dataset to detect patterns potentially indicating fraudulent activities, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or other suspicious financial behaviour.
  4. The outcome of the task shall be the original work product, solution, or deliverable created by the Participant (the “Competition Work”), which will be evaluated as part of the Competition.
  5. By entering the Competition, each Participant confirms that they are submitting only one entry.
  6. Multiple entries are not permitted.
  7. By entering the Competition, each Participant confirms that they are taking the Competition task only once. After starting the test, the Participants must complete it within the given time limit. After the test is completed, it will not be possible to retake it. 
  8. By registering for the Competition, Participants confirm that they will not create or use multiple accounts to enter. Any attempt to register from more than one account or to participate multiple times will result in immediate disqualification.
  9. The Organizer reserves the right to verify that all work submitted by the Participant—excluding legally permitted, publicly available libraries—was independently created by the Participant during the Competition.
  10. In the event of a breach by the Participant of the provisions of the Regulations and of generally applicable law, the Organizer will have the right to disqualify the Participant from participation in the Competition. The Organizer may verify the conduct of Competition Participants not only during the Competition itself, but also before and after it, provided that the behaviour is related to the Competition.



§ 4 [adjudication]

  1. The results obtained by the Participants in the Competition will be published after the end of the Competition. 
  2. All Competition Entries will be assessed according to the following criteria: [insert]
  3. The winner of the Competition is the Participant/Team of Participants who individually or as a team solve the Competition Task and receive the higher number of points.
  4. Competition participants will present their Competition Entries to the Jury. The presentation time for one Competition Entry may not exceed 4 minutes.
  5. Competition Entries will be judged by the Jury.
  6. The Jury's decisions are final and may not be appealed against.
  7. The Organizer provides prizes to the Winning Participants/Teams who are the authors of the highest-rated Competition Entries (the “Winning Competition Entries”):
  8. 1st place
  9. 2nd place
  10. The authors of the Winning Competition Entries undertake to provide ChallengeRocket Sp. z o.o. with complete and correct details and personal data enabling the tax settlement of the prize within 7 days from the date of announcement of the Winners. The payment of each prize will be carried out by ChallengeRocket Sp. z o.o. within 30 days from the date of receipt of complete and correct data from the winner. If the above mentioned information is not provided within 7 days from the date of announcement of the Competition Winners, ChallengeRocket Sp. z o.o. will award the prize to another Participant or – if it is not possible – cancel the prize
  11. The Competition winners will be announced on the 13 of October of 2025 during the stationary component of the event at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology (Marii Konopnickiej 26, Kraków) and via the Platform.


§ 5. [intellectual property rights to the competition entry]

  1. Participants retain full ownership of all intellectual property rights, including copyrights, to the works and projects they create during the Competition.
  2. The Participant declares and warrants that their Competition Work is entirely their own original work and does not infringe upon any intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties. 
  3. The Participant declares that they accept full and unlimited liability for any claims made by third parties against the Organizer in connection with the Competition Work. This includes, but is not limited to, claims arising from the creation, submission, use, or commercial or professional exploitation of the Competition Work, whether during or after the Competition. 
  4. The Participant grants the Organizer permission to use photos, screenshots, and other materials depicting the participant, the project, or other elements related to the Competition for internal and promotional purposes.


§ 6 [processing of personal data]

  1. The Organizer is the Controller of the personal data of Competition Participants within the meaning of Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (the “GDPR”), with respect to all personal data obtained during registration and throughout the Competition. 
  2. The personal data of Competition Participants will be processed by the entities involved in organizing and delivering the Competition in accordance with their respective roles under the GDPR. The primary platform provider will act as the data controller for participant data collected during registration and participation. Other parties involved in the organization may act as data processors or independent data controllers, depending on the nature and purpose of their processing activities. Where applicable, personal data may be shared with third parties based on participant consent and subject to appropriate data protection agreements.
  3. The legal basis for processing the Competition Participants personal data is:
  4. The registration of participation in the Competition, conducting the Competition and submitting prizes (article 6 (1)(a) of the GDPR);
  5. Receiving notifications of current job offers based on granted consent (article 6 (1)(a) of the GDPR); and
  6. The legitimate interest pursued by the Organizer or Euroclear in identifying qualified job candidates (article 6 (1)(f) of the GDPR).
  7. Personal data of the Competition Participants may be shared with:
  8. service providers pursuant to art. 28 of the GDPR;
  9. subjects, bodies or authorities, independent data controllers, to whom it is mandatory to get the Competition Participant’s personal data in accordance with the provisions of law or orders from the authorities;
  10. Providing personal data is voluntary; however, submission of personal data, including of the Participant’s Curriculum Vitae (the “CV”) is a mandatory prerequisite for participation in the Competition, due to the nature of the event and its recruitment-oriented objectives. The CV will be processed for the purposes of conducting the Competition and identifying qualified job candidates. Consent to receive job opportunities beyond the scope of the Competition remains voluntary.
  11. Participants' data will be stored:
  12. for the period strictly necessary to conduct and conclude the Competition, and thereafter for the period and to the extent required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
  13. for the period necessary to fulfil the legitimate interest constituting the basis for processing, or until the Participant objects to such processing, in accordance with art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
  14. Upon expiration of the applicable retention period, personal data shall be securely deleted or anonymized.
  15. The Organizer ensures that the Competition Participants can exercise their rights in relation to their personal data. These rights include: 
  16. The right to access their data;
  17. The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  18. The right to request the erasure of their data;
  19. The right to restrict the processing of their data;
  20. The right to data portability;
  21. The right to object to the processing of their data;
  22. The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: and
  23. The right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  24. In order to exercise the above-mentioned rights, the Participant may contact the Organizer at the following e-mail address: [insert]
  25. To the extent that the Participant has given explicit consent to receive notifications about current job opportunities, the Participant’s personal data – including their submitted CV - will be made available to Euroclear solely for this purpose. In such cases, Euroclear shall act as an independent data controller with respect to the processing of the Participant’s data for recruitment-related communications.


§ 7 [final provisions]

  1. The rules of the Competition are set out in these Regulations. All information about the Competition available in the advertising materials is for information purposes only. For all matters not covered by these Regulations, the provisions of the Civil Code, the Act on the Protection of Personal Data and the Act on Copyright and Related Rights shall apply.
  2. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the Regulations, provided that it is dictated by important reasons beyond the control of the Organizer.
  3. The Organizer will inform the Participant about the change of the provisions of the Regulations by e-mail and will place the Regulations in the new wording on the Competition website.
  4. The Organizer shall not be liable for any property or non-material damage caused by the Participant as a result of taking part in the Competition or as a result of and in connection with the intended or not intended use of the Prize. The participant is fully responsible for the damage caused.
  5. The Organizer reserves the right to change and/or remove content that violates generally applicable laws during the Competition.
  6. The Participant may submit reservations regarding the Competition.
  7. Complaints may be submitted via office@challengerocket.com.
  8. Complaints about the ChallengeRocket Platform should be directed to the Platform Operator in accordance with the Platform's terms of use.
  9. Complaints are acknowledged immediately. In the event that it is impossible to process the complaint within the indicated period, the Organizer will inform the applicant about it, providing at the same time the reason for the extension of the deadline for completion and the time provided for the response.
