The Deep Learning Bird Camera is a computation platform to detect, identify, and interact with individual birds in the wild. It's inspired by the insane intelligence of crows, and aims to eventually be a platform for exploring crow intelligence via robotics and games. For now, it's a system to automatically identify birds, take actions, and record videos of them. The plan is to use these videos as data to train better bird inference model, and to use the plywood shell and 3D printing to expand the capabilities of the platform itself. It's been developed publicly, through a series of blog posts and Github repos. The initial versions of the camera used a Raspberry Pi and remote inference camera, then incorporated the TX1, and now has a built plywood case, incorporating webcams and a mounting platform.
