Currently, there are various websites that offer comprehensive how-to guides or question-and-answer services. However, there is nothing that combines the power of humans and the Internet. This is what Vanilla does.
Vanilla is a new type of platform that provides crowdsourced information on processes. What this means is that our app scrapes the Internet for information about something a user may want to do (i.e. obtain a driver's license), but also augments that with information from users who have been through the process. In addition, any user who might want to undergo a process can also get live support from somebody who has been through it, and if they have any questions, they won’t have to pull all their hair out when searching online.
Vanilla is particularly useful for immigrants. For example, when people try to obtain a visa, it can become a headache to look through and fill out wordy government documents. Searching online is just as bad. In such situations, the process could be expedited with a little advice from somebody who has been in the same boat before.
