We use the Jetson running Linux and ROS as a platform to allow a tractor to operate autonomously. The user connects to the Jetson using a tablet running our webapp, and via this app it gives instructions to the Jetson about the task to perform. Our software, running on ROS, then takes control of the tractor and perform the assigned task.
The system controls steering and speed of the vehicle. It uses GPS to locate itself, and cameras and lidars to establish if it is safe to move forward.
